Dear Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus!
As we enter in to the summer season, Carrla and I are busy preparing to
make some life-changing decisions! Now that we have graduated from Mighty
In Spirit International's two year School of Destiny, the Lord is asking
us to attend Hope for the Hungry's Mission Orientation School in Belton,
Texas. We will be attending this wonderful school from June 20 -27. (For
those of you who are not aware, Hope for the Hungry is the organization
that provides oversight of the orphanages in Mexico that we have been
supporting.)
Although we have been on several short-term trips, there are a number
of workshops at the Mission School necessary for our continued success.
Some of these include Relating to other Missionaries; Communication Skills;
Family Life on the Field; Personality/Spiritual Gifts. In addition, there
is a wonderful children's program that Jared and Jacob will be attending.
The total amount that we need to raise for this trip is $1100. This includes
transportation to and from Texas, and the cost of the school.
We especially covet your prayers during this special time because Justin
and Jessica will be leaving the day before we return from Texas to go
on their two-week mission trip to Costa Rica. In addition, they will be
arriving home from Costa Rica on the same day that Carrla leaves for Mexico.
(I will be playing "Mr. Mom during Carrla's trip to the orphanages in
mid-July.)
